Beim Austausch des originalen Luftfilterkasten durch eine Airbox, wird die Kaltluft durch den Zuführungsschlauch über einen Beschleunigungskegel zum Filter geleitet und danach mit minimalen Widerstand vom Motor angesaugt.

Da das Carbon eine geringe Wärmeleitfahigkeit besitzt wird die Ansaugluft nicht unnötig erwärmt.

Der Motor bekommt kühlere Ansaugluft mit einem höheren Sauerstoffgehalt und hat dadurch mehr Leistung.
